The Club started life as a Board Games Club in 1978 and has been going strong ever since. In fact, if you want to run, or play any type of Wargame or most type of Role or Board game, be it with FIGURES or anything else, there will be someone interested.

The Club’s two Coaches are Phil Smith – 6th Dan and Lesley Farnell – 5th Dan
Both are ‘World Masters’ Champions, winning Gold’ in Brazil
Phil Smith is an Assistant National Coach and has run a Judo Club for 35 years

Whatever you have heard previously about line dancing… put those thoughts aside and embrace the new culture of line dancing in the modern 20th century.
Contrary to popular opinion Line dancing was not invented by cowboys. Line dancing has its origins initially in the 1960’s soul music scene in America, Followed in the 70’s by the trend of dancing in lines in the discos,.in the 80’s along came Billy Ray Cyrus and his video to Achy Breaky Heart and it was only really then that line dancing took off in the UK
An absolute beginners line dance class started at Highcroft Community Centre in March 2014. Currently 10 people attend on a regular basis and over the past few weeks have learned dances such as “The Tush Push”; “Black Coffee”; “Grundy Gallop”. All dances are taught thoroughly and to each person’s ability.
